LOTHLORIEN DREAMS

Lothlorien swims enticingly

in the corners and neurons

of my mind- reminding me of you.

Hauntingly, you tease

with beauty

and ease

lifting me

with gentle refrains;

with notes

accentuated as forest green.

Over and over

your smile lifts me

closer to your touch.

It amazes me- this song

is you.

Its enchanting melody

is the air you move in;

is the rise and fall of your breast

as you breathe and hope,

as you taste life

and reflect it upon me.

I wish I could give

back to you this gift-

your immortality-

but I can only give you

what is me.

and you remind me of me...i hold the pen, tap the keys, but most of the poems seem to write themselves...i feel guilty taking credit for almost anything i write.

Jacob, I share your guilt. I think mostly it is because of the inspiration behind what we write. In this case, it actually came as I was falling asleep, you know have dreaming, half awake, hence its title. But was thinking at the time, maybe someday, she might show up.. anyway, thanks for your comments...
