"Could You Be Loved"

"Could You Be Loved"

A Poem by redzone
"

exploding emotions, love..... who knew???

"
“Could You Be Loved”
It’s strange,
convoluted,
complex
how this works: Emotions,
Love!
With its magical, yet real
overtones,
undertones; it’s
the hidden music
I find amazing in you.
~~~
I mean, one minute
rainbows float around me
with captivating colorfulness,
and passionate explosions.
In these demure seconds
I see and feel
hummingbirds
making love to wild daffodils,
lilies and bluebells;
their wings,
in a slow motion flutter,
distort time in such a way that,
the words you write,
appear as wave ripples.
Time’s tide,
present since forever.
~~~
And I wonder,
cause the next,
nothing.
Nada. Not a word.
Empty space.
It’s like reality has become dark matter,
been sucked into a black hole
and I am left
alone
with a universe
out of control.
Atoms zinging,
mesons dissipating
like they were never there.
And yet,
amidst this beating chaos,
I am aware
of the million, billion
pieces-
     bloody
            and cold
of my once warm heart!

Wow. One of your best. So close to love in the dismal of frustration. Bravo, sir.........

that is tough...been through this...extreme passion, longing, one moment, and in the next silence, pulling away...and the reason so unknown...we wonder what we did to extinguish that flame so quickly, that burned so hot moments before.

So many romantic interludes are like this, Curt.....a roller coaster of emotion and color. From dewy fresh colors to dismal darkness where nothing seems right and nothing seems the same....and surely nothing is “nice”. “Making love to wild daffodils” such a delicious line, my friend....your romantic side is still my favorite. Romance is your genre...never doubt that for a moment. Wonderful work. Lydi**

I really enjoyed this! You captured the ins and outs, the ups and downs, and the lovely frustrations of heartbreak and love. It was simple but beautifully written.. gives images that you can't help but see. Good one :)
