Out over this barren landscape
you can hear it.
Listen.
It sounds like pain
caught in between echoes;
whirling,
swirling,
covering all tracks left behind.
And the wind cries
at this desert called life
***
Kicking up grains of sand,
it pelts your face with hollowness;
the vastness of one,
while standing amidst hundreds,
thousands,
billions.
And the wind cries
at this disappearance,
carried away by swirling,
whirling.... nothingness.
Some days the world seems null and void.....like a bounced check. On those days we exist in a state of non-existence and even the wind can not take us away....because it can not hold us. Very dark poetry, Curt, but the power of the emotions is exceptional. "nice". Lydi**
What a co-incidence, I've just complete my new write "Again `n` Again" and see! I read a poem that's just a bit related with mine ..I meant, our poems're related with "Wind." And am glad to read about Wind in an other creative way. I loved the poem!

Well .. i've now replaced the title "Again `n` Again" with "O`Wind" so, I hope you'd love that when you read, i've replaced the title because the poem's based on the theme of wind and the name too looks cool reading. That's why I've replaced the title!
.......
Anyway ... keep up the great work, Zone!
Now this was barren...extremely desolate the feeling your poem projects tonight my friend. The pain and anguish is torrential in this piece.
This is fantastic. Think I'll save this one in my favs

i really like this, Redzone....had me humming "the wind cries mary"---and made me think of the heart as the barren landscape...after so many disappearances of love...leaving nothing but "swirling, whirling, nothingness."

Makes me think of how small we can feel in this vast world...the emptiness of being one soul among the billions of others moving through life. Theres melancholy here and a touch of disconnection. Amazing and flawless poetry....

Seeing the plight of so many and feeling helpless as a result. I believe that we should what is within our ability to help our fellow man. If each person practised acts of kindness and giving we might make a significant difference. But sadly there would still be much suffering we can't alleviate. You have a sensitive soul...it shows clearly in your words. ;-)
So much emptiness pen'd here curt, no wonder you're not smiling hon. Those swirling winds feel like apprehension and fear of life, there's a darkness that looms here, haunting actually. Good read, albeit full of pathos my friend.
