As a mother my first reaction was to say because I said so, but that'd hardly do here. Absolutely abhor those kind of days when there's no side of the bed that you could leap out of that would make one freaking bit of difference....oh, love those songs, my mind is warped already, too late but thanks for the heads up curt....You know you gotta stomp those suckers back right? ;-)
The intensity of the introspection here packs a punch, Curt. Who would care? I think we all ask ourselves that at one point or another. Curt Cobain....interesting reference considering you share his first name. The name of his band, Nirvana, is where that led me....and that led me to think you believe death is equal to being free. I believe suffering ends at the time of death, yes....the suffering of the one who dies. However, what of the ones who care? Yes, there are those who care....even when you believe no one does. Pink Floyd...underground music.....and yet do we hear it when we are underground? That damned midget must have stomped your head good and hard, Curt. This is one to ponder...and it concerns me. However, it is well written.....and "nice". Lydi**

a beautiful, thoughtful reply Lydi... thank you dearly.. No I don't believe that death is freedom.. .. read morea beautiful, thoughtful reply Lydi... thank you dearly.. No I don't believe that death is freedom.. death is , well, it's death... I think we all want our lives to mean something, to matter, to contribute to the betterment of humanity in some way.. And I think as we think about our mortality, we ask these questions , yes in retrospect and in self introspection... In the Wall (Pink Floyd) the main character goes through this period where he removes himself from life so to speak.. but what he becomes is not very good when he wakes up... he becomes a fascist.. My introspection is in the opposite direction in that I want to see humanity florish, not suffer...
anyway, your right, there is no nirvana or pink floyd underground... or in what some call heaven.. Lydi, you remind me of how much we must write poetry.. thanks..
A million dollars question. We ask this one everyday. We see the clouds on the horizon or wake up like you have said on the wrong side of the bed and ask: Why???
A very powerful and realistic write...:)......................
