"HI"

"HI"

A Poem by redzone
"

..what if...

"

HI

Apricot scented skin entices

as you near and smile.

Smiling back,

a fluttering heart

beats,

anticipating

the closeness of your touch

and flickering

sky blue eyes.

~~~
As silver beams fade
into yellow light,
shadows evaporate, and
maybe this will be the day
you turn and say,
"Hi".
HI, I was all excited til I got to the blue eyes, thought you meant me, bummer...hearing Carly Simon singing in the background here curt.
"cause these are the good old days"..........
Adore that opener by the way, 'Apricot scented skin entices' it's deliciously inviting.
This was sooo good and romantic. It is truly indeed that shadows disappear when you are close to your beloved...Great job...:)...............
The anticipation of a connection in any way can be quite a ride. You never know where it's going to go and if it even is.
Hahaha. Well, skin is in the first line. Capcha knows. A very romantic and effective write. Insert sigh ...
The anticipation....the thrill of possibility. Never know when someone will actually start a conversation. Thing is, why wait for the shadows to evaporate? Why not say "HI" first in those shadows? One never knows what will happen next. The expectant nature of your words is wonderful and the imagery is great. There is almost an innocence this one, Curt....well, almost! Still, it is "nice". :) Lydi**
