Necessity - Freedom

Her life was enslaved,

it was bleached

blended and folded like old clothes.

Along with other women,

she was resigned to the whims of tedious,

everyday chores

mocking a woman's potential and intelligence.

And then she ran;

ran from the hands that groped

and eyes that stared;

ran from the fists that flailed at her,

ran from the numbing waves of normal life.

She ran looking for independence

and a more purposeful life.

She ran til she found

the all-the-way, liberating revolution and

the goal of emancipating all of humanity.

She also found

her own humane-ness.
