SIGNS

SIGNS

 

Bones

no longer

speak to us.

We no longer

see meaning

in the horizons.

Nor seek its signs

 

Signs,

no longer show

themselves to us

 

Lost,

even the old ones

have difficulty

remembering.

 

We are closer now

to the end.

Do the signs become mute or do we become blind? Do we just accept the status quo and keep on going as lemmings do? Lots to ponder in this write....especially knowing your political views. Truth is, at our age, we ARE closer to the end, but I think you are speaking globally as opposed to personally. The poem packs an intensity....and prompts the reader to think. I liked it. Lydi**

Interesting. Personally I always found that signs do show themselves, just us humans have grown to ignorant and arrogant to notice them or understand their meaning...Save for us creators!
