Sometimes I find it amusing, This need to flow and sway With you the way Birch trees embrace As the wind dances Between their limbs; Or, how it tickles When Wrens sing Flying among tree branches Building their nests. Always though I want To walk with you, Hands caressing As Shalimar thoughts Whisper in tree lined trails And float undaunted Thru my mind, Carrying me hypnotized On your world changing smile. Often my hopes See us sitting on stream’s bank, Feet dangling In the cool waters Kissing into existence A world free of obsession And Rain Forests abounds. Where our love breathes in The explosions of humanities fulfillments. ~~~
Sometimes I find it amusing Seeing you flow and sway this way, Captured in your Shalimar smile
So many of your romantic writes include a body of water...this one the stream's cool water. Your imagery is so wonderful that I feel the water on my feet when I read your words. I have known those who have a "world changing smile" and to be in their company is a gift. Wonderfully emotive, Curt. "Nice" poem! :) Lydi**
You're quite the romantic Curtis, this is utterly lovely, the imagery is off the charts....birch trees in their embrace as the wind dances, sigh, I take it she wore 'Shalimar' a constant thought here within your reverie. I like the way you twisted nature in the mix so elegantly, excellent read my friend.
