Rock & A Hard Place

Rock & A Hard Place

A Poem by Stephanie
"

c'est la vie et ses conséquences

"
Today I made my bed
Concrete mattress
Sheets heavy like lead
And the worst distress
But I'll lay my head
On this s****y bed
I'll lay
because I made it
I'll lay
and I'll hate it
I'll do my time
Until it's right
And I hope it is
In this lifetime.
And in the meantime,
I'll hope and I'll pray,
That everything will be okay
At least some day.
Sooner rather than later.

good write. i know the feeling. very relatable. we make our beds so we must lie in them. it'll just feel all the better when you are out of it. what doesn't kill us makes us stronger and the good things/times that much better ... :)
