Days of Dark

Days of Dark

A Poem by Anne Lockhart

Darlin’, don’t you cry.

You’ll see - it’ll be alright.

Days in the dark don’t make you who you are.

How you feel now?

Yes, it will very well determine how far you will go.

But we’ll push through the thorns - you’ll see.

God has a way - a way you may never know.

Oh darlin’, everything’s gonna be alright.

Stop choking on those tears and lift your head to the stars.

God is up there - but no, He’s not watching.

He’s doing.

Trust me darlin’ - you’ll soon see.

All of this is not for nothing.

Wow!!! Where was this three months ago!? A very dark time I went through after a break up and other factors. It's still useful for me and the rest of us here to look to. I think I saw a little something come out of the words... I don't know what. Awesome write! surely one of my favorites now!!!
