Who Am I?A Poem by RaeIdentity is important- and it's up to YOU, not others.
I am a teddy bear
I was born a teddy bear I am told that's what I am So why, oh why, do I see a doll every time I look in the mirror? I see a doll with short hair A flat chest A tall stature A defined face I don't like her So I cover her up with blue I tell myself '' that's not me '' And I force a teddy bear on myself - I am a teddy bear I was born a teddy bear I am told that's what I am So why, oh why, do I hesitate on going in the teddy bear's bathroom? I see multiple teddy bears They're quiet They see what I see Every time we're in the same room But I don't think it's right I'm not like these teddy bears ...right? - I am a teddy bear I was born a teddy bear At least, that's what I'm told So why, oh why, do I feel... like I'm not a teddy bear? - Is it wrong for me to feel this way? I can't be around other teddy bears While looking like a doll I'm told ''What are you doing?'' ''This isn't you'' ''Stop trying to be someone else'' ''Are you doing this so you can blend in with those dolls? Nice, mate!'' They're right This isn't me ...right?
