"Unknown, Unsung, Unkissed & Lost. "

"Unknown, Unsung, Unkissed & Lost. "

A Poem by Ramiz Ilham Khan
"

Inspired by 'Charlie Kaufman's' film - 'Synecdoche, New York.'

"
Act 1
Catharsis.

Scathing phrases from my unlived life,
born out of mashed memories.
Began to assemble on their own,
to frame chapters for my book.

Brute sex & blood thirsty kisses,
compelled me to find the meaning.
Of new loneliness that I desired,
which made sure, I'm not all alone.

Believe me when I say.
"Life is an intellectual montage"

Act 2
Verve in Void.

I duplicated life, for life; to hear,
an honest & blunt scream.
I printed love on love; to watch
carefully; who surrenders to whom.

Surreal artists sang Hallelujah to me,
but the big Mullah, slammed a fatwa.
And others just wanted me to want,
like they want to want; just anything.

Believe me when I say.
"I invented doppelgangers"

Act 3
Aas-Paas.

Outlying thoughts crumbled softly,
to form a pile of trash; only to find
Love in mundane self, in regular life,
in taming heartache, in facing death.

Still, the real impression of truth,
is brailled in thin air, for all of us.
The real reason to live is, to live,
to see to feel to touch to hear to taste.

Believe me, at least now.
"This is the brutal truth, brutal, brutal."

Act 4
Full Stop.

Lavish flutter of soul, will only
take us to some wonderland.
Whats left behind matters no more,
yet its there, waiting.

For a dramatic command to 'Die'

Believe me once and for all.
"There is no escape"

P.S. - Millicent Weems to Caden Cotard. [Movie quote]

"Now the room is waiting and nobody cares. And when your wait is over, this room will still exist and it will continue to hold shoes and dresses and boxes and maybe someday another waiting person. And maybe not. The room doesn't care either."

Apposition, my dear sir, pulled me in. In other words -- amazing choice of title.
I'm speechless. Your style is very.....personal. It's not like a lot of the styles I've seen before. I would know if you wrote something on here under a pen name. It's definitely an out of the "awkward child voice" mode for a very long time and you've found yourself in writing, which is all really what a writer can ask for. And I say writer because an author is more of a "I wanna be published!!" feel to it, while a writer, a poet, an artist, it's more of what you are. This one is going in my library. It's really good.
Nice style, tone, use of dialogue.

Edgar Lee Master says in his poem "Silence" if he could describe it all he would be an artist, but if he were an artist there would be deeper wounds which he could not describe

It is always wonderful to read the words of an artist.

Oh wow this sounds so profesional written. I'm amazed by your word choice, so describtive. It's a very beautiful, should I say poem? Powerful.

. skeletons are consuming ... they frame it all ... and everything hinges on them ... they are the truth that flesh hides ... and flesh is so deceptive ... we get taken in ... with the promises of absolution ... and even bliss ... a very fine write ... there's a lot that you say here ... and you say it remarkably well ...
