A Poem by redhors

Frank

Blunt

Honest

Cutting

Knives into people’s everything

Harsh criticisms

Turned into witty comments for likes

Who are we impressing here

Is Facebook a reflection of what your mind looks like inside?

Is it a way for me to actually know what is going on in the real you?

Have you always thought these things?

Have you always been this hateful?
I was wrong

We have not evolved

We are de-evolving

Down the gutters

With all the plastic trash that composes our plastic thoughts

The deconstruction of humanity started the moment we all became connected.

I'm a very latent follower of Facebook . I seldom go there, but when I do I'm more often shocked than pleased. I find it difficult to believe the harsh feelings and attitudes that I find expressed there. I can't help but to wonder if these are feelings these people have had for some time, but now, due to the political clime, find them easier to express. As our erstwhile leader might say SAD!!

Take care - Dave

I've never joined facebook and don't intend to. I've heard such bad things about it and don't see anything of value to it. Perhaps that band was right. "We are devo."

Ah indeed there has been a dilution of society and its values as we have become more connected and as technology has become more accessible. You capture the sentiments well in this piece.
