Garden of AngelsA Poem by Westminster AbbeyI recently went to the cemetary to visit my brother's tree. This is a story of a friend of his.I lie here in the Garden of Angels, Untouched and unbothered for years. They left me here alone. People pass by me To see their loved ones. I remain alone. Surrounded by flowers. I have none. I remain alone. The trees stand tall And bear their fruit. I remain alone. Through storms and disasters, Through tears and despair, I remain alone. But wait, Here someone comes. Will I remain alone?
They pass by me, Looking for their brother's tree. I am still alone. But they double back. They clean me, refresh my spirits. I am left alone. Once again, I am alone, But this is different, Now I have hope. There are good ones out there, And they will return. I will not be alone, Not forever. “I didn’t know who it was, but I had to do it.” ~My sister © 2012 Westminster AbbeyAuthor's Note
