[Can You See the Tree in the Square]

[Can You See the Tree in the Square]

A Poem by implicit

This unnamed work uses it's first line as a title.

"
Can you see the tree in the square?
Can you hear the old fanfare?
Tell me, tell me, is it true?
Does the tall tree seem to look at you?

That tree is alive: it bleeds if you carve on its bark: it sheds its colours when the weather advises; it looks where it will from top to nether branches as would a long time-resident. Yes, it looks, not down but above, granting you space in which to look at it, unhidden, unashamed - available. Unlike most human beings! It looks because it needs and - has to. Perhaps it sees the run and go of two-feet who pass by ignoring the most comforting of colours. Tis true.
