Transformation

Transformation

A Poem by redflutterby
"

...

"

Curled in a coccoon she waits

fragile heart barely beating

healing begets transformation

even the broken can rise again

past wrongs, shed like snake skin

evolving from anger's ugly blight

to the delicate silk of wings

crimson and black glistening

under the rays of a fertile sun

waiting...waiting...

to spread wide freedom's gate

taking a suicidal leap of faith

into something beyond today

finally...

watch as she soars overhead

to nuzzle cotton candy clouds

suspended in crystalline azure skies

fearless as the phoenix rising

her fiery soul is reborn...

sounds like a "flutterby", has found that "cotton candy clouds" can transform you into a multi-colored "butterfly".. it's really nice to see this transformation Andrea. cocoons may be safe, protective and necessary, but life, with all its beauty and ugliness happens outside... the world needs such "fiery souls", and we need this poetic fire here at WC as well...

Yay … this is what poetry is all about …
watch as she soars overhead

to nuzzle cotton candy clouds

suspended in crystalline azure skies

fearless as the phoenix rising

her fiery soul is reborn…

From red to another … you go girl.

you're more than welcome girl... It was my pleasure.. and thank you!
I love this. It has a positive, uplifting feel.
Now, since I am me, and you love me that way, choose or not to, to put the possessive apostrophes in
anger's and freedom's
BTW, the font choice is lovely too.

This one brought a smile to my face...it makes me happy to see you writing uplifting work my friend, hopefully this is a reflection of how you are feeling...the last five lines are gorgeous...evolving from angers ugly blight can be an excruciatingly long process at times, but when the evolution is complete, it is worth it...I haven't been in the best of spirits as of late (but when am I haha) but this piece has inspired me...lovely work Andrea.

Where there is hope there is the chance to be reborn. Sometimes we need to stay in stasis for a time before we are ready. This is an inspirational poem and I found my mood rising as I read this:

watch as she soars overhead

to nuzzle cotton candy clouds

suspended in crystalline azure skies

fearless as the phoenix rising

her fiery soul is reborn...
