Chapter 16

Chapter 16

A Chapter by abigail elizabeth

The next morning the two of us woke up rather late. When we went down stairs it was around eleven and Jonah was talking to one of his customers over on one of the couches. When ever the guy would look over at both of us Sophie would get scared and either jump or kind of hide behind me.

Poor thing,” I thought, “Kenny really must have messed her up.” Thankfully with in ten minuets the guys was gone. Then Tyler came clamoring down the stairs. When he saw Sophie a slight grin went across his face and a devilish gleam to his eyes. She tried to hide herself as best should could behind me but Tyler was coming over none the less.

“Who might you be?” he asked with an intrigued tone.

“Her name is Sophie,” I answered for her.

“Where did she come from?” he asked still looking at her that way.

“Kenny brought her in yesterday,” I answered not wanting to go into to much detail. He smiled evilly once again.

“Oh really,” Felling courageous I grabbed him by the arm and pulled him off to the side.

“Leave her alone Tyler,” I commanded. As I did this his entire composure changed.

“I’ll do what ever the hell I want when ever the hell I want,” he violently stated to my face, “If I want to do something with her I’ll do it and you can’t stop me and if you did try,” his smiley creped back across his face, “You’ll get the same as she does.” He pushed me away and went over to the couch flipping on the TV.

“What’s going on down here?” Adam said coming down the stairs in somewhat of a hurry.

“Nothing,” I said sitting down at the table. I could see that Sophie had snuck behind the stairs to get away from Tyler.

“But I heard something going on down here,” Adam said sitting down at the table next to me.

Tyler was jokingly giving me a hard time about something, I told him I waned him to stop, then he told me he could do what ever he wanted,” I partially lied. Then I saw Sophie sneak around and up the stairs. Once she got up stairs she went over and knocked on Twitch’s door.

“Y, yeah,” he said as he opened the door. He smiled weakly and looked down at his feet when he saw her.

“Can I come in?” she asked. His had popped up and his eyes got large.

“Oh n, no,” he said stepping forward shutting the door behind him, “ya, you don’t w, want to go, go in the, there.” Her eyes began to tear up. “Are you, you o, ok?” he asked.

“I, I want to go home,” she burst into tears. She then leaned into him now crying into his shoulder. He put his quivering arms around her as she continued to cry. Kenny came out of his room to see them. As soon as he saw them he turned and hit the wall before going back into his room.

Back down stairs Adam looked up at the ceiling with a curious look on his face.

“Do I hear a girl crying?” he said.

“I don’t hear anything,” I said not knowing how to answer. “Should I tell him?” I thought. He got up and began going up stairs. I went and followed him.

“Who is this?” Adam said. Sophie jumped when she hard his voice.

“Adam I can explain,” I began.

“I’m confused,” he said squinting in thought. Sophie peeked her poor scared eyes over Twitch’s arm

“Adam…” then I explained the whole thing to him.

“Wow, Kenny huh?” then he looked over at her, “Don’t worry Sophie I won’t hurt you.” She smiled meekly at him. “I’ve got to go, Noreen is she all situated in which room and all that?”

“She slept in my room last night so no but I’ll take care of all that,” I answered.

“Ok, bye,” he casually kissed me on the cheek and went back down the stairs. I smiled to my self and blushed a bit.

“I, I’ll get her, her, a r, room,” Twitch interrupted my dreaming thoughts.

“I’ll right,” I said snapping back to reality. Then I turned and went bouncing down the stairs. Sophie slowly and almost unwillingly pulled away from Twitch looking up at him.

“Th, that o, one or th, that one?” he asked pointing back and forth between the two available rooms’ one next to mine and the other next to his.

“That one,” she pointed to the one next to Twitches. He smiled as he went and opened the door for her. The room was plain just like mine was, boring.

“I, I can g, get s, some paint f, for you if, if you w, want,” he said.

“No it’s fine,” she said turning on the light. She went and sat on the bed bouncing slightly to see how comfortable it would be to sleep on.

By the time I went back up stairs I didn’t know where they were. The up stairs was totally quiet. I went over to the room next to mine to find that no one was there. Then I went across the hall to the other room. When I opened the door the two of them were all snuggled up on the bed asleep. I turned off the light and shut the door.
