Chapter 4

A Chapter by abigail elizabeth

Eventually Twitch invited me to sit down, so I went and cuddled up in a large rather comfy arm chair. After that not much else was said between us. We were both to uncomfortable with each other.

About two hours later Adam, Tyler, and two others guys walked through the front door.

“Twitch where’s Kenny?” Adam asked almost the moment they walked through the door.

“He, he left a, a wh, while b, back,” Twitch answered, “I, I don’t, kn, know wh, where he we, went.”

“He is so stupid sometimes, I specifically told him not to leave and that we were going to head to the other place once we got back. It’s all right I can just call him,” Adam replied and shook his head, “I got that stuff for you.”

“Th, thanks,” Twitch said gratefully as he caught the small brown paper bag Adam had tossed him and then got up to leave.

“Where are you going?” Tyler asked with disgust in his voice that I learned over time was almost always there and an evil look to match.

“I, I don’t wa, want to sm, smoke th, this in, in front of, of h, her,” he answered looking at me. I smiled gratefully.

“What ever Twitch,” Tyler rolled his eyes, Twitch went out the front door and down the stairs to the parking lot area. Adam looked over at me and thought for a second.

“What is your name?” he asked.

            “Noreen Johnson,” I said.

“I’m Adam Logsdon and this is Tyler Bryant,” he said pointing to Tyler who was sitting on the arm of the couch. I said nothing in response but just sat there. “I need to talk to you about something. Come with me,” he said motioning towards the bed room down the hall that we had slept in the night before.

At first I hesitated to go down there and shook my head not wanting to go with him. “I promise I won’t hurt you,” he reassured me as he continued to motion towards the room. I took a deep breath, nodded, and stood up to walked back into the room with him.

“All right,” he began once we entered the dark musty room and shut the door, “ok,” he started as we both sat down, “technically you are both Tyler and mine to do with whatever we want but I changed that. You’re completely mine. I traded everything that was rightfully mine that we took from your house for you. Which by the way I could have made a lot of money off of; your house had a lot of nice junk.”

I gulped not knowing if this was a good thing or a bad thing and asked him, “Why?”

“I don’t want anything to happen to you. I’ve seen what guys like Tyler can do to girls. People like him turn women who were once respectable into real s***s. I didn’t want anything like that to happen to you. I did it to protect you. I promise not to let anything happen to you while your here,” he finished in a calming voice that made me feel some what safe. I smiled sweetly and gratefully at him.

            “Thank you,” I said.

“Do you need anything?” he asked.

“No,” I said with a shake of my head, “What is Twitch’s real name?” I said thinking out loud.

“Ben Seaver,” he answered as he stood up from the bed, “No body calls him that though. Most people don’t even know his really name. Anyway we won’t be staying here any longer. Get your pajamas. Here’s a bag for you to put them in and any other stuff from in here you want to take with you. We’ll leave in a few minutes. Hurry up, Tyler ‘s very impatient.” I nodded.

“Who is coming with us?” I wondered.

Tyler, Kenny, Twitch, and Layla are coming.”

            “Who’s Layla?”

            ”She’s Kenny’s.”

“Oh,” then Adam left the room and I got my pj’s together, put them in the bag and left the room. When I came back out into the dirty living room area Adam, Tyler, Kenny and a girl who I was assuming was Layla were there waiting for me.

She was about 5.6, but with the heals she was wearing she had to have been 5.9. She had uncombed poufy dirty blond hair and dark blue eyes with a ton of darker eye make up on. She was extremely thin and curvy and was wearing the clothes to show it off. She was wearing a short tight little black leather skirt and a tan crop top that was held together up the front by a mere brown string that was laced tightly up the front.

“We’re going now,” Tyler said as he stood up from his position on the couch I had left him at and began to walk to the door.

“What about Twitch?” I asked not wanting to leave him and have no friends other than Adam where ever it was that we were going.

“Did I tell you, you could speak?” he growled as he turned around and glared strait at me.

“No,” I quivered and took a step back.

“If it’s any of your business,” he snarled and took a step towards me, “He is meeting us at the car. Now shut up!” I stepped back further and closed my eyes in fear of being struck. Then Adam stepped in between us as Tyler took another step towards me.

“Cool it Tyler!” Adam yelled at him in his face.

“Don’t tell me to cool it Adam!” Tyler shouted right back. Then he reached into his jacket to get out his gun. Adam put up his hand to seem to not be as affront as the moment before

Tyler, now I just don’t want you to be stupid,” Adam said in a calming non offensive voice. Tyler took a deep breath and put the gun away in his jacket.           “Let’s go.” Then we walk out of the apartment down the stairs and outside to the parking lot.

Twitch was standing over by the car with a bit left of what ever drug it was he was smoking. He put what ever it was out on the ground and got it the van he was standing by, the very van that had taken me from my house. It still had no seats in it so every one except Adam and Tyler sat in on the floor. It was just as hard and uncomfortable as it had been the night before.

“At least my hands aren’t duck tapped up,” I thought to my self as we drove there. I didn’t know where we were going but I hoped it was cleaner than the other place.

Loving the real life concurs this girl has. Not only is she fearful and fronted with a possibly life threatening situation and rape but she is also invaded by other worries, like all real people, such as her mother being upset about the missing chair, Kenny not being left friendless and alone, and the cleanliness of their next living situation. Random thoughts that should be completely out of place plague her thoughts but instead give it that realistic touch and fits well.
