EchoA Poem by Rosezelene ErsaA haunting poem about the legend of Echo.Echo, echo, echo… Tossing and turning, Twirling harshly ‘round the mountain crown. Sighing, wailing, softly crying, Echo- voiceless zephyr breeze A slowly twisting, flowing steam… She longs to be touched, longs to be seen. Echo, echo, echo, All she does is scream- Voiceless, into the wind. No more does the white exhale of smoke emerge, The plush sliver gathering in her lungs like fire, Only to escape as: Echo! Echo! Echo! © 2015 Rosezelene ErsaAuthor's Note
