[untitled]A Poem by redbirdfan524This poem is about George WashingtonIt all started with a man
George Washington his name,
Who didn’t realize
He’d soon have world wide fame.
It all started when he was young
22 to be exact,
When he warned the French
That they were going to be attacked.
We didn’t see him again
Until the revolution,
They picked him
Because they needed a solution.
When he got to camp
He didn’t like what he saw,
All the men drinking and swearing
Put him in awe.
He got them in order
By being strict,
He did this by fixing
The problems that needed to be fixed.
The battle of New York
Is the first battle that he faced,
The British won so bad
That is was time that was a waste.
It was Christmas ‘76
In the middle of the night,
The Hessian soldiers lost so bad
That is wasn’t even a fight.
The British was carrying luggage
Their fatigue very high,
The victory at Saratoga
Gave the Americans new allies.
The battle at Yorktown
Was the end of the revolution,
It turns out Washington
Was America’s solution.
So thanks to George Washington
The Americans won,
A battle where the odds
Were a million to one. © 2009 redbirdfan524 |
