Raspberry's Veil

Raspberry's Veil

A Poem by redalia
"

please let me hold you

"

please,

you’re being pathetic,

take off your ring.

come this way,

love,

you’re never that far away.

take off your face,

I’ve seen what’s underneath.

I’m sorry,

promise I won’t call us sad again,

fine, but

please,

raspberry,

take off that ring,

we can’t marry.

wipe away your makeup.

they can see it’s just product.

the worries in your head

are your only flaws.

cry out of only one of your eyes

cause the other has to see somewhat clearly.

please don’t fight me,

you’ll fall if you don’t let me hold you.

please

let me hold you.

I promise

I’ll get you the veil you want.

come here

and we’ll run away at midnight.
