Jeanette is GayA Poem by redalialoosely inspired by Jeanette Winterson's novel Oranges Are Not the Only FruitNot alone, not present, not where you want us to be, we are not who we are supposed to be. Way more comfortable in another body or consciousness. Been slipping in and out of reality in the physical sense. We need good sleep, is all. Don’t you have anything to say? Not much, I’d assume; not anything of the same genre, not one thing. To the pure, all things are pure. Need help? You'll be ready in a day? Why are you so detached? Don’t you have anything to add? Hear this: not even one person’s ever gonna make you feel that confident, comfortable or desirable.
I know you love them and you need them but who and what is even real? I want closer, is all. (Would absolutely love not to hold things back. Though, you can only talk so much with Melanie.) © 2017 redaliaAuthor's Note
