CRY

CRY

A Poem by red-juliet

So I lift my swollen eyes and lame arms towards

The only comforter I have ever known

Abba father, I’m your broken daughter

Don’t leave me all alone

And you reach down and scoop me up

And say “I hear her when she cries”

And I cling to you Daddy as I clung to my life

Tears smarting in my eyes

And in those agonizing moments of powerlessness

You were the only one there who comforted and dried

And that’s why I hold on to you and refuse to let go

For you were the only one there when I cried

. an amazing ode ... from a wonderful daughter ... to a wonderful dad ... brilliantly written ... very poignant ...

The poem is beautiful. I have three daughters. I would do anything for them. I like the kind emotion and how the love of a father brought peace to a daughter life. In the end we will need each other. A excellent poem.
