![]() Medusa StarA Poem by roselyn![]() A poetic exploration of deep longing, mythological reverence, and divine femininity. Silent admiration drove this writing, and I hope you take this as it best fits you!![]() In a blackened world of scattered lights, your flame pierces mine through the endless night. Your glow eclipses all the rest. I turn and stay, yet you’ve blinded my gaze- a radiant force, a parasitic infestation. Can you show me how to hold this flame? How to embrace the warmth unashamed? And flow with the currents of blaze? You’re my Medusa Star, my boundless destination. a beauty so magical I could lose my sight. Even if I wandered this lonely void, your heat would serve as my compass, My map, my final location. But you don’t know, not even half the truth. You may never see the storm you’ve brewed. Through caged eyes, I’m left apart, Watching my Medusa Star ignite my match. I wish to speak, but the words burn to ash Before they risk touching your atmosphere. I burn in silence and solitude, a galaxy collapsing inward. To see you is to expose myself bare In a crowd full of photographers and their flashy cameras, And risk the world seeing me in your light. To bare myself is to sit unarmored Underneath a hot sun that scalds as quickly as it heals.
