How can you call yourself a dad?

When you threaten me.

When you begrudge paying the minimal money you pay my mum for me.

When you yell at me and call me a selfish cow.

When every time I think you are changing and you deserve a father’s day gift.

You change and make me cry.

Tell me I am worthless.

You are not worthy to be a father.

How can you call yourself my dad?

When you birthday present I spent so long on,

Ends up in my room, replace by a picture of your wives nephew.

When you wish you didn’t have to pay my mum for me.

When you love you youngest so much you give her the world,

Yet me you give insults, threats.

And even still you don’t father your youngest.

When she was in trouble you turned your back on her!

You are not a dad, not a father!

Gah i know the feeling. Of not having a father who gives a s**t. Of the threats. Making you feel worthless. Causing so much pain that you would give anything just to crawl up and die. yes I now it very well. But it is really something you have to learn to get over. The fact is some people just weren't ment to be parents. My dad is one of them, it seems yours is to. But as you write this it seems you still want him to care. And to change. So by saying that it says that you still care. And it may sound impossible but you really shouldn't. Why care for someone if they don't care for you?
