The freedom I don't want!

The freedom I don't want!

A Poem by Rebel_angel
"

Something I have alway yearned for but now I have it I don't want it!

"

All my childhood I wished to be free.

And now the time is near,

I wish to be kept.

I whished I could make my own decisions,

I whished you wouldd remove your protection.

I wished for you to see me as equal.

Adult.

But now the time is nea,

I wish you to build a wall,

Protect me in your arms,

Make my decisions.

Tell me everything will be ok.

Call me baby.

Be my mummy.

Why are you lettig go now?

Now I don't want to be free.

Now I don't want to be an adult.

Now I want to be a child.

Now I want you to keep me safe.

How true it is that most youngling long for the day they shall be free to make live as they please. I find that you are correct in that most of those who have bucked against parental rule and influence soon find how valuable it truly was. There is a good lesson here. Children should respect and cherish the guidance of a loving parent and never push them away. They should be held in a place of honor throughout one's life. There were a few mispelled words in the poem. Whish= wish nea= near lettig= letting etc. Interesting poem. God bless!

Really connected with this piece of writing. When we are young an know little about the insanity and hurt in the outside world, we are niave and curious, assuming we can conquer all. When the reality of what the world is really about hits us and our life becomes more than just worrying about what time we go to bed, if we can get that new video game etc, we just want the protection from a world of sadness that our parents tried so hard to keep from us until it was an impossible task.

Thank you :)
