Who is the real me?

It's not the person that you see.

I hide behind my fake smile,

Waiting all the while,

Untill no one can see,

Then i show the real me.

 

I'm not what you think

I'm different.

But you will never see,

Not the real me.

 

Get lost in dreams,

Get lost in hope.

That's how I cope.

But deep inside i scream!

You don't see,

Not the real me.

 

No one see's

Not even me,

I don't know!

Who is the real me?

But it isn't the person that you see!

Is it?

I am sick of people thinking they know who i am but i don't even know who i am. and that confuses me even more!

i think i know you pretty well huni but i do have to say there are parts of this that everyone reflects on, look at me this time last year wouldn't even admit i had a bad day let alone having problems haha

Greetings Miss. Angel, I'm a 45 year old fat man with 2 kids and a wife for 22 years. I can see in your writing that you are begining to touch your soul. You chose that type of fake smile. You are picking parts of your inviroment to express who you are. That's what we all do. Keep writing and searching for who you are and why you chose the things you do. I beleive you never get past 14, or 15 years of age or perspective. It's not finding the answers to life but the journey that's cool. Look around and enjoy being young, I'm still doing that at 45. Quest for knowlage to Obtain Wisdom. I like the subject of your poem and I like the way it flows, keep writing.
