I saw in your comments that you wrote this for your soon-to-be nephew. I wrote something of similar taste when I was expecting my niece. Lots of strong emotion here. It's a tall order to write a happy poem without being cliche or sappy, but I truly see some shining moments here. Also, the use of form is a nice touch! Keep on with your work!
