Falling Out Of In Love

Falling Out Of In Love

A Poem by Rebecca Hope Rouston

i once woke from a terrible dream

no one was there, it was just me

tears filled my eyes still closed

and i could still feel it in my bones

shivering in the dark i looked for you

i searched the sheets like i always do

then your lips connected to mine

and i realized this is what i wanted to find

i clutched my heart ever so tightly

memories of you involve so much fighting

the words off your mouth to me said

i cant wait till my memory of you is dead

you make my pain just disappear

my mind is free and my sight is clear

the orange light is coming from outside

i can see your eyes vividly in my mind

i'm falling out of in love with you

and i figured out what i already knew
