Existentialism.

Existentialism.

A Poem by Rebecca Hope Rouston
"

I am entirely free and thus, I am responsible for what I make of myself.

"

I can still taste her on my lips

and I can feel his hand gripping my dress

I can hear her gasping in my ear

and I can still imagine the way his skin feels

I can still smell her on my clothes

and I can still hear the sound of his voice

I can feel her shaking beneath me

and I can still kiss in harmony with him

I can still see the look on her face

and I can sing every lyric to the songs he wrote

I can honestly tell her I love her

and I can still tell him he's the only one for me

I can go on with her forever

and I can still die without him in my life

I can't break her heart

and I can't ask him to come back to me

Now that is what i call abstract writing... it certainly speaks well of the complications that arise with love. Your work really makes me think deeply.

Absolutely your most powerful, introspective work I have read... I can sense the struggle of your soul and the fight to find yourself and your future... You are truly an amazing writer, feeling such emotion and creating such an amazing piece... You know I think the world of you...

i like how this alternates between the male and female perspective. I like the last two lines the most, it was a great way to end the poem, and i can relate to it.

Wow. You do have a problem. But the write was straight forward and left me feeling the bittersweet dilemma as if it were my own. Good work. Hope it works out for you.
