Don't Look At Me.

Don't Look At Me.

A Poem by Rebecca Hope Rouston

language isn't in the words
so i cry with my eyes closed
nothing ever sounds right
a language you should know

i shouldn't feel this scared
send to hell any deposition
is it so bad say whatever
no sabotage to the mission

replay the tapes mentally
then there's so much to say
i stare in the mirror, then
comfort vanishes in the day

there's so much aggression
if only someone heard me
the path is so clear inside
of every human i ever see
