I feel it's hard enough without making up my own words

I feel it's hard enough without making up my own words

A Poem by Rebecca Hope Rouston
"

lying is the most fun a girl can have without taking her clothes off.

"
I wish i could express myself
What if I had a cure to breathing
I wonder what I could be
If messing up was harder than cleaning
Ive lost the ability to speak aloud
Ive lost the connection there
We no longer communicate
I don't even know where to stare
What if I never found you
Then I could seem to find the strength
If I never knew the power
Then the medication could never deteriorate
Everyday I hope to regain my sight
You're no longer holding the stick
For now I'm misunderstanding me
Trying to shut what should be open

A wonderfully penned look into a struggling soul.

"What if I had a cure to breathing"
Significant line here with potentially deep meaning. Very well worded.

I'm not great at decoding poetry. I can, however, see quite clearly how much of yourself, your soul, you put into your writing. Not to mention a great deal of talent. :)

Nice poetic words. Your writing has a sadness to it, yet a spark of life no doubt.

This poem has a unique depth. Its shows your inner struggles trying to find yourself and yet trying to find reality. This is a wonderful piece of literature. I love your last four lines:

Everyday I hope to regain my sight
You're no longer holding the stick
For now I'm misunderstanding me
Trying to shut what should be open.

Wonderful Write!
