Our summer nights.

Our summer nights.

A Poem by rebeccarellis

Burned pink by the cold night wind

We are blinking in your kitchen

Which is yellow and brimming with things.

The warmth is silk over my skin,

And our hearts beat clearly

To the colours of our eyes,

Fixed and loud with joy.

A body slips

From air to water, takes me through

To the glowing simplicity

Of being planted alongside you,

Alive to myself

As I'd never lived before.
