A love poem

A love poem

A Poem by rebeccarellis

To wake and feel your warmth alive,
Circling my soul in silent flight,
I see my morning prize
By the light
Of a feather fall swing
Through crystal time.
Like the swish crick of leaves
To the night forest wanderer
I am struck by Beauty's flush
So perfectly calm
In our humble cocoon.

My eyes trickle trails
Over your body:
They wring out a sponge
Of amaranthine droplets,
And I have closed us up now,
A surge of fresh green arms
Around filmy petals.

As we tip the day further away,
Wind out the waves,
Wind in our limbs,
Smell mangoes on the wind
I am afloat, I'll hold my breath -
To still the thought
Of loving you.
