Stealing thorns.

Stealing thorns.

A Poem by rebeccarellis

A chase through lived-in rooms
Chalked by writhing fire and snaking
Words of mockery:
They plunge like loving needles
Come to save and purge
A metal skin,
A coat of armour swallowed up
In dusty hollows.

Unearthed and cornered, they can
See the frail green blood
Pulsing channels in the flowery
Veins of moon-white breasts.
Cold disgust bleats to the
Lashing rain, and calls the
Crave to cave, to stifle her
Giant of protruding lusts and
Score him down -
Forget the petals!

And then to swim to wakefulness,
Ears scorched and throbbing
In crisp morning light.
No one but a bird outside
Who s***s in air, lonely and free.

Loved the imagery that pierces the page ...
S.Thorns has an earthy & brutal flow to it ..
thanks for sharing!
