A Walk Through Nature

A Walk Through Nature

A Poem by Rebecca Pall
"

this was a poem to fit an interactions theme for a school contest

"

I walk outside

I can see the vibrant colors

Red leaves, green grass, blue sky

The natural beauty stuns me

I listen to my surroundings

I can hear the subtle sounds of life

The chirping of newborn birds, the soft howling of the wind

The natural beauty stuns me

I bite into a bright green apple

I can taste the complexness of the fruit

The tartness of the very first bite, the sweetness of the very last one

The natural beauty stuns me

I touch a big old tree

I can feel the elaborate textures

The roughness of the bark, the smoothness of the leaves

The natural beauty stuns me

I smell a vast array of flowers

I can smell the sweetness of the different plants

The sweet, polleny scent

The natural beauty stuns me

I finish my walk

With all of the beautiful memories

The senses can add so much to everyday activity

The natural beauty stuns me

A stunning poem (sorry: I couldn't resist)

I like how you have gone out and interacted, participated with the natural world around you. And then: shared that with the world. Some of the things encountered in the poem are relatable to most everyone, and your experience of them is expressed simply. That makes the connection between you and the reader very accessible and uncomplicated. As is your "Walk Through Nature"

A nice poem, Rebecca. Thank you for sharing.
