The Final Moments

The Final Moments

A Story by Rebecca Pall
"

Just a short story for me to blow off some steam and express maybe some not-that-great feelings

"
The last half hour
She ran into her room, a stream of tears rushing across her-dark skinned face.  Slammed the door, shaking the house.  These were the final moments that she could review her life this far.  Did she really want to make this decision?
The last twenty-five moments
It was definite.  This was happening.  She was finally going to be happy somewhere else.
The last twenty moments.
She ran into the bathroom.  Washed her face, made it hot, so that the pain of what she was about to do would be more bearable.
The last 15 moments.
She searched her house to find the thing that would do it.  All of the medicine cabinets were locked.  She had tried to do this before twice so her parents knew that she was a very troubled young woman.  Depression turned to anger.
The last 10 moments.
No time to say goodbye.  No-one would care anyway.
The last 5 moments.
Everything would be gone.  She would finally be happy.
Ten
Nine
One cut
Eight
Seven
The next cut, both bleeding profusely
Six
Five.  This is the end.
Four
Three
The next cut, this one making her fall to the floor
Two
One.  Her body was now cold and lifeless
She is finally gone among the angels.
She is finally happy now.

Please don't be too critical. I am simply writing to share some emotions that I don't even particularly like.

Thank you very much
Bone chilling. For what it's worth, I thought that this was very intensely written. It truly gives some insight into what the author was feeling, and for that, it is a pure piece of writing. A sort of legacy to leave. That being said, the feelings conveyed are sobering. Very real.
