The Last Kiss

The Last Kiss

A Poem by Rebecca Pall

The last kiss
Like a tattoo on my heart
Leaves me breathless
I don't know where to start

It won't happen again
That makes me remorseful
If only you would understand
How I try to be hopeful

You have found new love
That leaves me in the dust
I thought since how you treated me
Your heart would begin to rust

You will never learn your lesson
That's your problem, not mine
Good things happen to bad people
But you've definitely crossed the line

Very nice piece. Loved the flow and how powerful your words were. Really liked the last stanza. And as I read it I could really relate. How people find other things/other people and forget about you. How all you have are the memories. And in this case..."the last kiss"
Again, good job
