The Storm Can Be Scary

The Storm Can Be Scary

A Poem by Rebecca Pall

Thought you were different
Hatred was in your soul
Everything was fake
Stopping myself from calling for help
Trembling with fear
Overreacting is what you call it
Remembering what you did
More scared for the next time
Cringing at the mere things I did with you
Anything new seems scary now
Never able to trust you again
Bringing tears to my eyes overtime I think about it
Everything seems like it will end the same way
Scared and cautious for new beginnings
Criticizing myself when I know it was your fault
Apparently fooled
Realizing my worth?
You never even cared

Interesting. It reminds me of rapid thoughts that would trample one's mind. Whatever the case, it's a good read.
