Candles and Glass

Candles and Glass

A Poem by Rebecca

Burning desire,
Passion of fire.
Consume the water now.

Lightning and thunder,
Repressing beat under.
Shake the earth down.

Winds and flight,
Now take sight
To the world which you live.

Stars and night,
Feel the fright
Of the child in the dark.

Day and sun,
Burns and run,
And again you face the dim.

Pink and set,
Now don't fret.
The time has almost come.

Candles and glass
Bare the sash
Of the man-made burning light.

Break the core,
Feel the sore
Of the molten hot glass.

Now in red
Burn again,
With the passion set inside.
