Hopeful Wishing

Hopeful Wishing

A Poem by Rebecca

Walking down a one street path,

Reaching to touch a face I know.

I'm taking my time, but it feels so fast.

All of them just seem to go..

People slipping through my hands,

Now I realize, they don't know me.

They left particle by piece, grains like sand.

I was screaming to people I only thought I could see.

The world has moved on,

And I cry, I'm alone.

Companions are now gone,

And yes.. I'm lone.

I stood in front of you, dear friend of mine,

You walked right through me like I wasn't there.

And oh love of my life, hold me each night!

But you're ignoring me without a care..

I don't even know myself.

I'm looking through my own reflection.

When did I enter this state of Hell?

Where's the damned redemption?!

Edge of the cliff, toes hanging off.

Wearing the white dress I never had the chance to.

Just waiting for the stopping hand, so soft..

Admitting to love, to tell me what to do.

But.. That's just wishful hope.

Hopeful Wishing.
