Paths

Paths

A Story by Rebecca

Today I was surprised with a trip to the beach. I didn't expect it to be as eye opening as it turned out to be.. As me and my companion walked on top of the massive groups of rocks, I realized that, in a strange way, it's a lot like life. We each took different paths to get to the same destination. At times, I would be in the water while he was jumping on rocks, sometimes I'd find a sand path and he'd cross the tiny pebbles. Same destination, different path. At one point, we both crossed a flat stone surface together, and it made me feel so, familiar. That's where we are now, at the same level, at other times one of us would be ahead and the other would follow. I feel as though perhaps the whole experience was bigger to me then it was suppose to be, but I have to thank Poseidon for giving me such a pleasure today. Some people prefer the harder way, as it feels more fulfilling at the end. Some prefer the smoother, easier path. No matter which path you take though, there will be harder and easier spots to walk. Sometimes you need more help then others, but in the end, you have the same destination.

I love you, Poseidon.
