Stairway To Hell

Stairway To Hell

A Poem by Rebecca

The window to my past seems to always follow me,

Reminding me 'what could have been',

Tormenting with what still could be.

And the dark, appealing sins.

Maybe it's time to stop fighting the dark.

Go and ring the evil one's bell,

Where our natures true world larks,

Down that stairway to hell.

Feel the blood dripping down your skin,

Energy burning deep.

The cold, burning guilt rising in

As you've realized this great feet.

It is time to give into your fate,

And only time will tell

If you've accepted this blackest of states,

Down that stairway to hell.

I've given in to the great abyss,

Taken the devil's hand.

I don't see what is left to miss

In this so-called joyous land.

Pushing others out of the way,

So they may repel

This cruel fate... I had to stay

Down that stairway to hell.

Temptation of the easy road isn't so easy. Different between bad and good are like walking on a thread. A excellent poem. I lived to test the boundaries. When in Hell is hard to get back up the stair again. A powerful poem. Made me think. A goal of the writer.
