One Single Tear

One Single Tear

A Poem by Rebecca

She crawls slowly to her corner,

Her small place of freedom.

The only spot she can call her own and

Express herself.

She holds herself tightly,

Wishing it all away.

For a time feeling nothing, but knowing

Eventually she must go back.

She lies down on the carpet,

The softest touch she's recieved in

Who knows how long.

Only to quickly force herself back up.

Now she stands from her corner.

That small place of freedom.

And to the real world she returns,

Leaving behind one single tear.

A deep and expressive spill of emotion from the soul.. really felt this grabbing me. I think the title is a poem all by its self. Thanks for the read.

Awe. Poor girl.
A great poem, though there is one thing.
"She stands from her corner"
Wouldn't, "she steps from her corner" sound better?

However, that is a silly little thing that probably only I find annoying. This poem was great!
