Rest In Silence

Rest In Silence

A Poem by Rebecca

I get it, I get you.

We could care less about each other.

But listen now, and listen good:

Just keep those lips shut and that voice off.

I don't have time to be concerned.

So when it's done, do me one thing:

No screams or yells or whining,

Rest in silence.

Peace? Peace comes to those deserving of it.

The ones who live well and right.

Did you live well? Did you do others right?

I don't believe peace is your best quality.

So rest quietly,

Rest in peace another day.

To you I make a life exception:

Rest in silence.
