A World Without Danger

A World Without Danger

A Poem by Rebecca

Your face grows pale, your eyes dim down,

I know you see the world to which I'm bound.

I wish I couldn't tell you this is no stranger.

If only you could go to a world without danger.

It's a fear, it's a foe,

A strive and a will.

If only it was something you didn't know,

If only it was something I could.. Kill.

The day you came to know me,

Gave you this fate, forced to be.

How I wish you were a stranger.

Living in a world without danger.

So you run and take cover,

And I'll fight until the end.

You're sprung into my world, one like no other,

Have no fear, I'm your friend.

Someday I'll die, leaving you to peace,

The cold war will be over, and we'll rid

The Beast.

But for now take my lead, for you are no stranger,

To this cold horrid world, which we know's filled with danger.
