Fantasy and Reality

Fantasy and Reality

A Poem by Rebecca

There will always be a girl who thinks

Her fantasies dream is coming.

That the day she least expects it

Prince Charming's at the door.

I wish I could warn that naive girl,

She is only setting herself a trap.

Just wait, and her heart will snap.

For there is a distinct line between fantasy and reality.

In a fantasy, your love will come.

In reality, they must be found.

In a fantasy, they will cherish you.

In reality, you're lucky someone's there.

In a fantasy, you're all they want.

In reality, eye's wander.

In a fantasy, trouble is meaningless.

In reality, it's everything.

In a fantasy, love is the story.

In reality, it's just the bookmark.

In a fantasy, you live happily ever after.

In reality, you're lucky to survive.
