Little Burnt Daffodil

Little Burnt Daffodil

A Poem by Rebecca

You taught me one valuable lesson, little burnt daffodil.

Don't put my heart into my efforts.

Obviously trying to bleach you to pure again

Proved Pointless.

Crisp burns don't bleach well..

But onto the next flower in this beautiful garden

Of Life.

My roses and honey suckles and cherryblossoms.

Flowers which wish to be tended to.

I love to water them and give them sun.

I'm sorry I hadn't noticed you were in too much shade,

Left in the dark,

And, perhaps due to your own rage,

Somehow caught fire, little burnt daffodil.

But flowers are flowers, and many need tending,

And you, little burnt daffodil, are but one flower in this luxurious garden.

This is cute and very true :) I likes it.
Ah, summer heat and beautiful wild flowers. Let them bloom and they shall be protected. But over watered and they drown, and sulk in misery. I love this :)
