Lonesome

Lonesome

A Story by Rebecca

I found myself lost in a dark room. I could barely see it's dim description, mostly the darker corners, I seem to be in the center of it's desperate despair. I was cold, sitting down with my legs clutched close to my figure, as if letting go would mean more then losing what security I felt. I opened my mouth in an attempt to yell for help, but words refused to make their way  out of my stuttering lips. I could feel the cold drying tears on my face, and soon I felt more dropping again down my cheeks. I fell to my side, onto the colder concrete and squeezed my eyes shut again, "I'm not here, I'm not here..." I recall saying aloud, anything to get my mind out of this confounded room. It was the end of anything and everything worth while to me, as suddenly something told me,

"This, is where you shall die."
