The SoundsA Poem by RebeccaA parody of Edgar Allan Poe's poem, "The Bells"
Hear the classroom with the sound- Soprano sound! What a sound the flutes do make that make the music round! How they play with grace and beauty, From a solo to a tutti. Their sound is quite a pleasure, With every passing measure. Oh, the flutes, flutes, flutes! Oh, the feather-like sound of the flutes!
Hear the classroom with the sound- Alto sound! What a sound the horns do make that make the music round! With their new-age buzzing glory, That seems to tell a story, How they play with such endurance, With fast ascending currents. Oh, the horns, horns, horns! Oh, the strength and power of the horns!
Hear the classroom with the sound- Tenor sound! What a sound the sax’s do make that make the music round! With the low, luminous, luxurious sound the sax does make, They give a sense of confidence and are quite easy to play! The most current of instruments, it’s genre’s always alters, It is fresh and new, and the tone never falters! Oh, the sax, sax, sax! Oh, the metallic sound and beauty of the sax!
Hear the classroom with the sound- Base sound! What a sound the tubas do make that make the music round! It plays with such ecstatic, enthusiastic energy by far, With a deep buzzing noise that goes below the music bar! It is easily considered a hard instrument to play, But when played with heart and soul, the sound never decays! Oh, the tuba, tuba, tuba! Oh, the brassy deepness of the tuba! © 2009 Rebecca |
